It is sanctioned by the passing of centuries for it was in 1546 that Hieronymus Fracastorius first wrote of the "germs" of disease. In this work, I would have liked to find space for all the true tales of men and women who searches for or were sought by the germs of disease. And so begins the Author's Notes for Man Against Germs.
